Stage Two Requirements
Toolkit
The toolkit is a collection of content related to the topic of the PIP and serves as an educational resource for the physician. After a performance improvement goal is created, the physician should review the toolkit, utilizing its contents to consider and evaluate means for attaining their performance improvement goal. The PIP Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Toolkit includes: 
  • Practice Parameter for Electrodiagnostic Studies in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Summary Statement
  • Second AAEM Literature Review of the Usefulness of Nerve Conduction Studies and Needle Electromyography for the Evaluation of Patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Clinical Quality Measures for Electrodiagnosis in Suspected Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Evidence-based Guideline Neuromuscular Ultrasound for the Diagnosis of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome 2

Implementation
During the implementation period, the physician will work to modify his/her behavior to incorporate the performance improvement goal into practice. The implementation period must be at least 30 days and should not exceed 2 years.
