Dr. Devon Rubin challenges the father-son combination of Drs. Peter Dyck and Jim Dyck with a case of peripheral neuropathy. Watch to find out whether the patient’s diabetes was the culprit or whether there was another cause. You will not be disappointed as you learn many pearls in the clinical and EDX evaluation of peripheral neuropathy.
9/30/2020- Dr. Sandra Hearn interviews Dr. Darryl Sneag, Dr. Scott Wolfe, and Dr. Joseph Feinberg about their work in advancing our understanding of anterior interosseous nerve syndrome, based on their article: Sneag DB, Arányi Z, Zusstone EM, Feinberg JH, Queler SC, Nwawka OK, Lee SK, Wolfe SW. Fascicular constrictions above elbow typify anterior interosseous nerve syndrome. Muscle & Nerve. 2020 Mar;61(3):301-10. The authors describe how severe anterior interosseous nerve syndrome (AINS) reveals fascicular constrictions of the AIN fascicles within the median nerve, typically localizing proximal to the elbow. The findings support an evolving understanding that many idiopathic mononeuropathies may arise from inflammatory (rather that compressive/entrapment) etiologies. 49 minutes
6/17/2015- An interview about ulnar neuropathy with the neurologist who invented ulnar inching, William W. Campbell, MD, and Mary Franklin, REEGT, CNCT. Have you ever wondered when to test the FDI with an ulnar nerve entrapment? Have you ever asked yourself what is ulnar mapping and when should I do this? Maybe you’ve wondered about the “10 centimeter” theory in measuring the ulnar nerve around the elbow or about the degree at which the elbow should be flexed and when to inch? If so, then this podcast is for you! It’s an excellent educational resource for technologists and physicians alike!
