Upper Extremity Focal Neuropathies
Description
Objectives: Readers will acquire skills to: (1) Explain the anatomy of the major nerves in the upper limb, (2) perform motor and sensory NCS in median, ulnar, and radial nerves, (3) discuss the common focal neuropathies and differential diagnoses affecting upper limb nerves, including CTS, ulnar neuropathy at the elbow, and Saturday night palsy, (4) understand the EDX strategy in focal neuropathies to arrive at a proper diagnosis, and (5) recognize the indications and types of surgery for focal neuropathies of the upper extremity.
