Objectives: Readers will acquire skills to: (1) Discuss the most common causes of polyneuropathy including diabetes, alcohol abuse, inflammatory neuropathies, and polyneuropathies from systemic illnesses, (2) review the evaluation of patients with polyneuropathies for treatable and reversible forms, and (3) explain the role of electrodiagnosis in the characterization of polyneuropathies.
