Self-Assessment: Toxic Myopathies & Neuropathies | Advances in Duchenne Treatment & Management
From 2023 Annual Meeting session content.
Course Description
This self-assessment course is created from two sessions held at the 2023 Annual Meeting.

Toxic Myopathies and Neuropathies

Identify iatrogenic and noniatrogenic causes of muscle and nerve toxicity; articulate the mechanisms underlying muscle and nerve toxicity; diagnose and classify various forms of toxic myopathies and neuropathies based on their clinical presentation, EDX findings, and histopathologic characteristics; and manage toxic myopathies and neuropathies.

Advances in Duchenne Treatment and Management
Describe the new and emerging drug therapies and treatment approaches in the management of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Discuss the relative roles of each of these and how they are changing the approach to care for these patients.

Objectives:
1.Identify both iatrogenic (treatment-induced) and noniatrogenic (non-treatment-related) causes of muscle and nerve toxicity, recognizing the key factors that contribute to these conditions.
2. Describe and discuss the new and emerging drug therapies and treatment approaches available for the management of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, staying current with the latest developments in the field.

To claim self-assessment (SA) credit, you must watch the session recordings and answer a post-test. You must get above a 70% on the post-test survey to claim credit.
