Description:This online course will focus on Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT), a significant hereditary neuropathy that affects children, adults, care-givers, and physicians. Objectives: Participants will acquire skills to (1) diagnose CMT based on common symptomology; (2) discuss work-up and surgical treatment options for the very young to adults; (3) identify the potential benefits of occupational and physical therapies and bracing to help normalize life for those diagnosed and their care-givers.

Target Audience: This course is intended for Neurologists, Physiatrists, and others who practice neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and electrodiagnostic medicine with the intent to improve the quality of medical care to patients with muscle disorders, specifically those who care for adult patients with Chacot-Marie-Tooth.

The AANEM designates this enduring material for a maximum of 3.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Credit expires 10/25/2020.
