Description
Real EMG© consists of unidentified cases of real patients who present for an EMG study. Each case will provide a clinical history and examination which will allow the user to identify the potential diagnoses prior to obtaining the EMG findings.

OBJECTIVES
After using the Real EMG program, users will be able to…
  • Generate a differential diagnosis based on a focused clinical history and physical examination.
  • Select and interpret nerve conduction study waveforms in light of the clinical context, patient age, body habitus, and anatomic variants.
  • Correctly identify and grade needle EMG findings.
  • Recognize technical problems that may occur during electrodiagnostic testing.
  • Identify safety considerations related to electrodiagnostic testing.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
The AANEM is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
